Who is Two Stranded?
Debuting as a film production company in 2023, Two Stranded boasts a successful premiere with 'Calaboose (2024)', which sold out at Pip Theatre in Brisbane, Australia. Garnering a volunteer-based crew of students, Two Stranded continues to write, produce and market their genre-challenging works for aspiring filmmakers.

Founded by Georgina Sawyer and Jennifer Martin as they tackled their undergraduate degree, in which they met, Two Stranded is a company built on careful planning and resilience within (and outwith) their industry. With their projects including themes relative to young adults and teens, the works challenge the 'grey areas' of relationships and morals, while simultaneously providing access and experience to those wanting to break into filmmaking - whether they have experience or not.
Creatively and politically driven, these projects take on an 'interpretive' and 'opinion-based' approach, making sure that audiences worldwide have a chance to question their own morals and social standing. This initiative, widely accredited to the teachings of directors Lisa O'Neill and Anatoly Frusin, presents as an opportunity for viewers and filmmakers to come together and create work that is allowed to be questioned, torn apart and respected.

JENNIFER MARTIN
CEO & Co-Founder
Currently serving as the head of Two Stranded, Martin originally founded the company in 2021, alongside Georgina Sawyer.
Taking the lead as Director on all previous projects undertaken by the company, she has designed and structured the worlds within the films produced. While filling company roles such as Casting Director, Producer and Editor, Martin uses her main focus, Acting, as a tool to ensure the most fulfilling and enjoyable time on-set for both cast and crew.
As Two Stranded avidly prepares for its next project, Martin undertakes both original responsibilities and those adopted from Sawyer after her departure from the company in 2024.

GEORGINA SAWYER
Co-Founder
Before officially departing from the company in May 2024, Sawyer built the company up from scratch, alongside Jennifer Martin.
From writing, to producing, to scheduling the entire cast and crew, Sawyer took lead on the production of 'Calaboose' as she brought her script from idea to full-fledged film. Simultaneously taking on roles, Georgina used her industry experience, in both backstage and on-camera, to deliver a well-balanced and organised draft-to-premiere experience for the entire cast and crew.
As she continues her career in the industry as an actress, her work establishing Two Stranded as a multi-faceted Indie film company only continues to flourish.
